Born into a musical family, Jess Bush took her first piano lesson at the age of seven and was instantly hooked. Inspired by the musical open heart surgery of legends like Carole King, Stevie Nicks, and Brandi Carlile, her soulful vocals, raw, honest lyrics, and bluesy piano composition result in an unmistakably earnest sound in the neighborhood of Americana Alt-Country. In May of 2023, Jess was awarded "Best Overall" at the Songwriters at Play songwriting competition and will participate in the grand finale in April 2024. In addition to her work as a solo artist, Jess has provided keys, synth, and/or vocals for The Mystos (voted Ventura County's Best New Artist), and other artists including Jacob Cole, Wryn, Nautical Thrust, Dan Sadin, Nicole Sophia, Wild Coast, Bradberri, The Brave Kind, Maliah, and more.
